Born Ready Not “Ready ” To Be A Terp According To Zagoria–Collins Definitely Returning To Kansas–I Still Say It Ain’t Over

The merry go round continues. Adam Zagoria reports today that within a couple of days, Lance Stephenson will decide between St John’s and Kansas, completely ignoring Maryland. Lance took an official visit to St John’s this weekend after having talked to Bill Self on Friday. Monday night point guard Sherron Collins announced he is definitely returning to Kansas. Here is my take: Self is playing Lance like a fiddle. the second Xavier Henry commits to be a Jayhawk, Self will drop Born Ready. Sherron Collins, X and Lance–give me a break. Who in the world is advisng Lance–he will never see the ball even with just Collins in the backcourt. Now if Lance becomes a Johnnie–good luck in building a resume for being a 1st round NBA pick. I just don’t get it. If this decision isn’t closed by Thursday, then look for Coach Williams to enter the fray–that is unless Gary hasn’t found someone else yet. Who might that someone be : Will Barton, Tristan Spurlock? We know it probably won’t be Terrell Vinson as he supposedly is on his way To UMass under prodding by ex-Minutemen Coach Calipari.

I say lance should just go 2 st.johns it would be a good fit because to stay in N.Y after having a legendary higschool career..and you have a great freshman teammates in Malik stith and Omari lawrence..st.johns will have a good squad if lance decides 2 go

Lou I really don’t know much about St John’s except I know they were not in the dance this year. Why do I think Lance is the right fit at Maryland. Maryland is a veteran team now and assuming Greivis doesn’t come back there is a definite need for a go to guy. The guard opposite Lance would be Senior Eric Hayes who is the perfect guy to keep teams from double teaming Lance. If you leave Hayes open for a second, he will bury you with a three.
