Ex Terrapin Braxton Dupree wanting to stay close to home announced his transfer to Towson University yesterday. Dupree “has an opportunity to be a real impact player in the [Colonial Athletic Association],” Towson coach Pat Kennedy said in a statement. “He played in an outstanding high school program.” The Tigers were 12-22 (5-13 CAA) last season. In an interview, Dupree said the toughness of the CAA impressed him. He said he wanted to continue to play in a challenging conference and recalled how VCU, a CAA school, had defeated Maryland in a game he started his freshman season. Check out the article by Jeff Barker in the Sun today.
Braxton is a great kid who we wish nothing but success to at Towson.
