Quickly the 2010 class is filling up. Virginia’s Mario Rowson has given his verbal comittment to the Terps according to terrapintimes.com.
“I had a thought about it,” Rowson said. “But when I got there, I really liked the campus, and the coaches were really cool. I’m really excited about it.”Rowson wowed Maryland coaches last month when he ran 4.4 seconds in the 40-yard dash. He also impressed them with his size, strength (benched 310 pounds) and ability to jam receivers at the line of scrimmage.“It just seemed like they really wanted me bad,” said Rowson, who also had interest from Penn State, Virginia Tech, Virginia and North Carolina. “It’s been a long day and I feel good, but I’m glad to have this behind me. Now I can focus on Battlefield (Lake Taylor’s season opener).” Titans coach Hank Sawyer said Maryland is getting a good cornerback.“You just don’t find corners that big,” he said. “He’s got great hands and excellent closing speed.”
