Injuries Could Force the Burning of 4 Redshirts at Wake
It’s been discussed all week that freshmen Caleb Porzel and DJ ADams will probably play this weekend due to the Da’Rel Scott injury. Now terrapintimes.com reports that 2 freshmen offensive linemen, Pete DeSouza and Nick Klemm imight have to burn the redshirts if any injuries occur to the line.
if you’re going to use adams and porzel you’re probably going to have problems next yr. 2010 you’ll have scott, meggett, douglas, adams and porzel all available. you’re gonna lose one or two because no one is going to like to be 4th or 5th string. we’d be better off lining up one of the 9 receivers we have in the backfield and let them go in motion, use quick screens, some reverses and use the short pass in place of the run a lot of the time. don’t forget we don’t have that good of an offensive line so these running backs are getting hit early in the play. use the fullbacks more on quick openers.
