First things first–this was only an exhibition game but Gary’s teams always play at a frenetic pace. Tonight was no exception. Some comments on the game.
The 2 Freshmen turned in excellent performances after shaking away 1st game jitters. James Padgett was 4-5 from the field and had 4 rebounds in 22 minutes of action. His inside moves are excellent. Jordan Williams is a physical force and will undoubtedly see more time as the year goes on. Jordan finished with 7 points and 6 rebounds in 18 minutes.
Greivis played his leadership role in fine fashion scoring 13, with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Greivis 11 3 09
Sean Mosley was the “truth ” tonight, going 7-9 from the fieldand displaying a soft shooting touch we didn’t see last year. Gary believes Sean’s ankle injury last year hindered his offense. Listen to Sean post game Mosley 11 3 09
Landon as usual got his quiet 14 points nailing all 6 of his free throws. Adrian Bowie came off the bench to score 8.
It was just a different team to watch tonight–there is much more offensive presence then just watching Greivis go 1 on 2.
All in all a good first performance for the Terps.
