Additional From Bruce–Thank heavens Jack McClinton is gone!!! The Baltimore native killed the Terps over the years. Tonight hopefully we can see the killer instinct from the Terps. To display how unpredictable the ACC is this year, Miami has lost twice to BC yet defeated Wake.  Three Seniors dot the starting lineup–Sound Familiar? The Terrapins must protect their home turf. Winning on the road is never easy. THIS BECOMES A MUST WIN. 4-1 and in 1st place is an excellent way to go to Clemson and FSU where a split would weigh a ton. First things first—possession by possession—if the defense stays as aggressive as it has been the Terps win this one handily.

With only 2 teams from the ACC in the AP top 25 every game and every win is crucial. With the parody in the ACC I don’t expect more than 5 teams from the conference making it into the NCAA Tournament. And, if a dark horse team wins the ACC Tourney, one team expecting to go to the big dance could be left behind. I am hoping James Padgett gets some significant minutes tonight for the Terps. We’re going to need his size, low post moves, rebounding and and passing as the season heads into February.
