OPEN YOUR EYES!!!! I just don’t get why Duke receives a #1 seed in the Brackets and the Terrapins are shipped to San Jose to play as a 4 or 5 seed. I hope my readers believe that when I say the Terrapins are every bit as good as Duke, I really mean it.. Let’s analyze: The surest test of how good a team is –is the present. Minus a few out of conference patsies, Maryland and Duke are both 13-3 in recent conference play. Each team was 8-0 at home and 5-3 on the road. The teams split their 2 meetings.
Mosley vs Singler— Sean gave Singler fits at Comcast. Of his 14 points, Singler only had 7 while being guarded by Mr Baltimore.
Zoubek vs Jordan —Zoubek wins the war at Cameron. Jordan a knockout winner at Comcast.
Nolan Smith vs Eric— Nolan Smith had a great at Comcast but Eric Hayes was flawless 6-8 from the field.
Lance Thomas vs Landon— Thomas can’t score like Landon but Landon has to bounce out of his slump.
Bowie, Tucker, Dino vs the Plumlees and Dawkins—scoring wise hands down this goes to the Terps. Really a big vs little guy battle.
Greivis vs Scheyer—This is where the Terps excel. Sorry, Scheyer is not in Greivis’ league. all the Carolina hype can’t make Scheyer capable of what Greivis can do. Think I am too biased? Mark this down–Greivis will be a first round NBA selection and Scheyer won’t be drafted. Dookie V was on the tube pleading Scheyer’s case. Sorry, Greivis is a better shooter, playmaker, better in transition, guttier, better driver to the bucket, and is able to make everyone around him better.
By the way it is inconceivable Mosley, Eric Hayes, Landon, or Jordan did not make the 2nd or 3rd All ACC team. If the writers feel that way then Gary Williams must be Coach of the Century!!!!
If you are conned by the Duke and Coach K publicity machine, please don’t bring it up to me.

I just think that MD has to play its best game to beat Duke.
I hate Duke. I hate them. But, I think if they played 10 times, Duke wins 7.
It all comes down to recruiting, thats why they have beaten us 6 out of 8, I think?
Hopefully, that changes in the next 2 years, but Duke has more 5 stars coming in, and MD has lots of question marks.
2011 is REALLY the class that can make or break MD as far as getting back into the top 3.
Can Gary get Quinn Cook? Gbinije? Hubert?
Do they have a shot at Mike Gilchrest? Mikael Hopkins? If they can get 2 of those top 30 rated Rivals kids, which there should be NO EXCUSE not to, THEN MD will start to get some of that respect they have to fight soooooo hard for.
