#2 Lady Terps Storm Through Franklin Field Dismantling #4 Penn 12-6

Tonight we saw Maryland lacrosse return.  After a few lacklustre performances the Lady Terps led by Karri Ellen Johnson’s 4 goals crushed the Quakers with a stifling defense. The Terps move to 12-0 on the season. Next up a Redemption Day game at Carolina next Saturday at 11 AM.

Kristy Black had a hat-trick for the Terps.  When you talk about the 2010 Terps offense, DEPTH is one word that really stands out.  This team has so many weapons in so many places, and Black’s hat-trick shows that.   Before the game against the Quakers, she only had 5 goals on the season. After a recent stretch of games where the Terps were down at the half (JMU and Towson), Maryland played a strong first half and went into the half up          5-3.  Draw controls (14-6) were the key tonight for the Terps.
