the big ten might a good choice for md. overall certainly a better academic conference. though nc and duke have won the last b ball championships, acc b ball isn’t what it used to be. wake has been down, nc state down, va down, bc is nothing special, va tech is ok , miami is fair, fl st is fair, clemson could go down now that purnellhas left. acc football isn’t great. miami is on an upswing, fl st isn’t what it used to be. wake made a nice move up but aren’t world beaters, nc is going to be decent with butch davis, va is down, bc is usually competitive but not great, clemson is always decent. va tech is good but overall it’s not a great football conference. big ten would mean more money, probably better tv expsouse with the big ten channellus espn, abc. big ten football with ohio st. mich. (though mich is hurting now) penn st. iowa, wisonsin, purdue, ill is a stronger football conference than acc. and their teams would probably be better draws at md. in b ball with ohio st, mich st, mn. indiana should be getting better with tom crean. it’s good b ball conference. i don’t think the acc is that much better is ball. maybe a little but not great. and maryland might have areal rival with penn st where they don’t have any real rival in the acc. and don’t say duke because it’s duke v nc always.
