I was in LA this past weekend and journeyed out to Dodger Stadium with me son. Here are some observations:
There is no doubt in my mind that the loss of Jamie Luskin has affected the team in a negative way. The fans I talked have said the team is just playing dead..
What a great old time ballpark! Sunday afternoon was packed as the Angels coasted to a sweep of the Blue. Going to the Dodger game reminds me of the excitemant there used to be in going to Camden Yards.
Any team that bases itself on the strength of Manny Ramirez is in deep trouble. Manny has been through since he pushed the 64 year old traveling secretary down in Boston. Theo tossed him out of Boston like yesterdays news. The way Manny loafs after balls in the corner is laughable. He is no longer fit top play real baseball in the AL East.
Kanter’s Deli can’t hold a candle to Attmans Deli. Give a 100 people a blind taste test of each deli’s pastrami sandwich and Attman’s wins 100-0. Note: Attman’s is the best move the Orioles hierachy has made this year!!!!
I was very disappointed in the Dodger Dog — just a nother hot dog.
I wanted to buy a couple of George Sherrill tshirts for Freddy and myself to wear in protest of the trade that further ruined the O’s but his status has sunk so low that even the store vendors never heard of him. TRUE STORY!!!
Message to Bud Selig: Don’t ever take the DH away from the AL.
However I have to admit that Dodger Stadium is just an awesome venue to experience baseball. Now the lawyers need to get jamie Luskin back at the helm.

i could have used that t shirt. need something to wipe my car off after washing it. i guess without luskin around the dodgers will have trouble using the bait and switch in future trades. (cheap shot!). the dh is lousy. you get guys like luke scott who hit the ball, slams his bat down in dramatic fashion, jog halfway around first and then realizes he has to start running because the ball went over the outfielder’s head. the announcer calls him out for not hustling and scott has the nerve to say he was hustling. pathetic. nice job by tillman last night. will somebody show this kid how to grip his fastball so the ball has some movement on it. how long can he throw a straight fastball an inconsistent curve and change up and pitch in the big leagues. the orioles are going to crush his confidence. send him back to norfolk and don’t bring him back up until he can throw his fastball with movement and command it as well as having better command of his breaking ball. if you just want someone to go out and get hit hard every game put in hendrickson. he won’t be back next year and he’s over the hill.
