Jake Arietta again put in an excellent performance. He pitched 7 strong innings and left after giving a leadoff single in the 8th. His Line—1 earned run, 3 hits, 2 walks, 3 ks, 55 strikes on 93 pitches. He left with the 0s up 4-1, a lead that could have been much higher with 1 or 2 timely hits. Ohman, the pie thrower was brought in. In a crucial situation with 2 on in the 8th, Ohman induced Aubrey Huff to ground out to end the inning. However this begs the question, why in the world was Aubrey Huff given away. He has 10 homeres and 34 rbi, batting 3rd for the Giants. Batting third? Who did the Os trade him for. What was McPhail thinking? Oh that’s right a Single A reliever prospect. Now that we might have a potential stopper in Hernandez, does he immediately become trade bail for prospects?
