Hernandez Blows First Save—O’s Lose Heartbreaker–Again –3-2 to San Diego
Remember anyone can be a closer. I will not bring up his name again. In watching Oriole Centerfielders for 50 years, I don’t ever remember seeing one misplay a fly ball as poorly as Adam Jones did in the 6th inning, spoiling Brian Matusz shutout. This team is just awful.
simon should ahve startd the ninth inning and ohman should not have pitched to gonzalez who was 5 for 11 against the lefty. too much over managing. and hernandez fought hard and almost got out of the inning so give him credit for that. he could folded quickly but didn’t. you just cna’t walk the lead-off hitter.
