I’d say it’s a pretty good day for Steve. With Derek Fisher, Shannon Brown, and Jordan Farmar all free agents Mitch Kupchak reached out to Blake and signed him the 2nd day of free agency, The Lakers probably realized the title almost slipped away last year due to the lack of scoring from the point position. At this point of their careers Blake is both a better shooter and defender then Derek, but if Derek is resigned I am sure he will still start —at first. Remember Kobe had to put his stamp of approval on this signing.
