tampa bay hitters unlike the orioles hitters are patient. they sat on tillman’s fastball which was straight and usually in the middle of the plate. i think a lot of the problems the orioles have is in the coaching. of course there isn’t a lot of quality talent on the team. tejada isn’t the player he used to be. wiggenton hasn’t hit in 2 months. lugo and izturis are journeymen players, scott isn’t anything special, pie has no feel for the game. jones is still learning, markakis has little protecting him in the line up. wieters is still learning. the young pitchers are still learning. team fundamentals are very poor which means usually lazy players and a coaching staff who can’t get their message across.
