“There’s no way, with hindsight, I would’ve ever called up Larry, called up Magic and said, ‘Hey, look, let’s get together and play on one team. But that’s … things are different. I can’t say that’s a bad thing. It’s an opportunity these kids have today. In all honesty, I was trying to beat those guys.”—Michael Jordan
“Mike and I are in 100 percent agreement on this. If you’re the two-time defending NBA MVP, you don’t leave anywhere. They come to you. That’s ridiculous. I like LeBron. He’s a great player. But I don’t think in the history of sports you can find a two-time defending MVP leaving to go play with other people.”—-Charles Barkley
The longer this goes the more fans are wondering what will an NBA title really mean to LeBron’s legacy. This is certainly not to say that LeBron was not within his rights as a free agent to play wherever he wanted to. NBA owners can’t complain about the mess of free agency they have created.

maybe lebron figured after 7 yrs in cleve he wasn’t going to get help that would be needed to win a championship. bosh didn’t want to go to cleve. wade wasn’t coming to cleve. and really who cares why lebron left and who cares what barkley and jordan think. anyone who heard jordan’s hof speech wouldn’t have any respect for him anyway.
