Recently hired University of Maryland men’s lacrosse coach John Tillman announces the hiring of Kevin Warne and the retention of Ryan Moran as assistant coaches.
“We’re extremely excited to be able to complete our coaching staff with two of the finest young assistants in the nation,” said Tillman. “Kevin is a terrific coach, who I have worked with over the past three seasons. His passion and charisma are only matched by his knowledge of the game and I look forward to seeing him coach our defensive unit.
“I’m also pleased that we are able to retain Ryan on this staff. He is a terrific coach who has strong ties to the program as both a coach and a player. He’s been a tremendous role model for our student-athletes and provides a sense of continuity for our players.” Warne follows Tillman to College Park after spending the previous three seasons as an assistant coach at Harvard where his primary responsibility was overseeing the Crimson defense. from umterps.com
