The Maryland women’s lacrosse team visited the White House Monday as President Obama honored last year’s NCAA Division I National Champions. The Terps gathered for a reception on the South Lawn, celebrating with other NCAA champions from across the country before President Obama acknowledged the crowd. “You understand that student-athlete emphasizes student, and not just athlete,” the President said in his address. “This is a group that knows what it means to be a champion.” from umterps.com
