Let us not forget it’s early.
If the preseason is supposed to ready the offense at this point the Ravens should be in favor of a 20 game season. In 2 weeks the offense has been pathetic. 20 points–boring offense. There are whispers starting about #5. Derrick Mason–1 catch?
TJ had a chance to make a couple of plays and did not produce.
The defense again was stellar but how many times can 52 and the guys be almost perfect. Reminder: Ed Reed has not played yet.
These 3rd down checkoff plays are getting annoying.
Monday night was an emotional, physical game that the Ravens were lucky to win. No such luck today. 2 brutal calls went against the purple but bottom line when you lose the turnover game 4-0, you will rarely win. Ray had the following to say about the officiating: “Six points was given off of B.S.,” Lewis said after the game. “It’s embarrassing that you can put them in field-goal range off of two calls like that when they couldn’t get into the end zone themselves. That’s why everybody straps up their helmets to make sure if you’re going to earn it, earn it. But they didn’t earn it today.”
Billy Cundiff–2 out of 3 Kickoffs out of the endzone—1-1 Fg. I sure would have let him try the 52 yarder in the 1st quarter.
I can virtually promise #5 will be much sharper next week for the home opener.
