Orioles Closing the Curtain On the Bosox–Win Again 9-1
I wish I was at Fenway last chanting Let’s Go O’s in the 9th inning as the Orioles were sending Papelbon to the garbage heap. Please resign Wiggy who hit a 3 run homer last night. The bullpen again was nearly perfect.
pen didn’t give up a run. that’s perfect enough. bergy didn’t have his best stuff as was the case with matusz teh night before but the kids kept the o’s in the game. next year could get interesting. i think we have 4 solid starters in guthrie, matusz, arrietta and bergy. berken coming back to the bullpen. albers pitching well, j johnson, simon who came back in 9 mos. aftger surgery last yr. gonzales, vander-whatever who we got from the marlins, hernandez, maybe koji back. need a big hitting first baseman. dark horse is joe mahoney. 6’7″ 255 pounder who played at frederick and bowie this year and bell needs to learn to be more patient at the plate. Alot of young hitters don’t realize you really don’t have to swing the bat until you have 2 strikes. same with pie. a little patience. reimold will be back and i look for a possible platoon with him and pie in left.
