Observations of a pretty good and quick game.
#5 returned to the NFL yesterday throwing for 250 yards and 3 TD passes to Anquan Boldin. Luck was on Joe’s side as his first pass should have picked off for 6 except the Browns DB was probably in shock that the ball was thrown right to him. Joe was sharp and his 3rd TD pass was a thing of beauty.
With apologies to Michael Jackson, Brandon Stokely, Marl Clayton, Qadri, Travis Taylor , etc,etc, the Ravens have never had a receiver of the quality of Boldin.
Peyton Hillis from Arkansas was an absolute beast on the field today. It might have been the best performance by a running back against the Ravens ever.
If Anquan gets the gold star for yesterday, then Billy Cundiff gets the silver. 2 crucial kickoffs in the 4th quarter were unreturnable for Joshua Cribbs. Cundiff also nailed a 49 yard field goal that looked like it would have been good from 60.
We have been spoiled to no end. The defense was actually made to look bad by Ravens standards but the Browns could only muster 17 points.
Why in the world did the Browns punt with 4 minutes left. They were 0-2 desperate for a Win. Stupid move Mangini.
Jared Gaither was again inactive.
The first episode of Dexter Season 5 was riveting last night.
The fans are starting to really get into the fight song. It needs to be played twice after each score. as far as the new lyrics go, I only have Fight Fight Fight and for Baltimore and Maryland we will march on to victory down pat.
