JUST WIN BABY!!! Terps Go To 5-2 (ACC 2-1) Holding On to Defeat BC 24-21

3 Hours and 20 minutes of excruciating ESPN3 Play By Play later the outlook is much brighter for the Terrapins. Playing inspired ball for their teammate Pete DeSouza, who is suffering from 2 broken legs, the Terps made some big defensive plays to save the game.

After 2 years the Terps utilized most of all their offensive skill weapons at the receiving position. Boykins, Dorsey, Tyler, Torrey, Cannon —Danny O’Brien had 3 TD passes and many successful 3rd down plays. Danny was 27- for 40 for 182 yards and NO INTERCEPTIONS. The rushing game was non existent against the ACC’s #1 rushing defense.

Ralph was very emotional after the game. It was JUDGMENT DAY–this victory sets up the entire season—next week should be another win against Wake Forest. That could set up a National game against the U. Anything to get off of ESPN3.

Antwine Perez, the uUSC transfer came up with 3 turnovers, 2 ints and 1 fumble recovery to lead the Terps defense. The Terps had 0 turnovers-thus the victory.

Road wins are never easy for the Terps and today was no exception. An absolutely fluke tipped pass turned this game from a comfortable win to a rough battle to the end. Kerrie Boykins, Ronnie Tyler and Torrie Smith each caught TD passes from Danny. the offensive line deserves tremendous credit for quickly adjusting to the DeSouza injury. THERE IS SOME LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL!!!!!!
