The irony of ironies—Why is this Saturday’s game against FSU —Redemption Day
The entire Maryland football program will be looked at entirely different with a victory this Saturday. Don’t believe for a second it can’t happen. FSU is already looking past the Terps figuring out what bowl they will play in and awaiting the Florida game. If you think the Seminoles are that strongremember BC had them deep on the ropes at Tallahassee. It took a 55 yard FG to beat Clemson at home.
Everything changed for the Terps when they discovered their new QB1 Danny OBien. A great qb always give you a chance to win. It’s way too soon to call Danny great or is it. He was flawless against UVA—attacking the weaknesses play after play. when trapped he ran for a 13 yard TD. A QB like Danny can make a coach look brilliant. THE TERPS ARE 7-3 TODAY WITH THE ORANGE BOWL DREAM ALIVE> You think this Saturday’s game is big–if the Terps prevail, it will set up a monster of a game against NC State.
What are the appetizers–A huge game between the Pitt Panthers and Ashton Gibbs (Sterling’s brother) tonight at the garden. The Terps have nothing to lose–a win catapults them into the top 20. A loss is expected. We sure need Sean Mosley and Dino to bounce back tonight.
And of course the Field Hockey team team has a great chance to recapture the National title , the Tar Heels stole from them last year. First Maryland must get past Ohio State at 430 on Friday. Probably Carolina awaits. the Terps have beaten Carolina twice this year, the last 4-2 for the ACC Title.
A lot is at stake this weekend!!
