Stubborn Terps Fall to #4 Pitt 79-70—Missed Free Throws Seal Their Doom

If Pitt is #4 in the nation then the Terps are certainly not #39. The Terps battled back from double digits deficits several times but could not get over the hump. Likes and dislikes of the night’s performance:

The Terps were outrebounded by 21 and were 14-31 from the foul line, and 2-14 from the 3 point line but stayed close because they kept the turnovers down–only 9.

Cliff Tucker is playing like the senior leader he will need to be for the Terps to be successful. He finished with 17 points and 5 assists.

Sean came back to the scoring column with 7 but without the big 3 there, he is not getting great looks. As I said 2 days ago he will be fine.

Stoglin is not bashful about shooting and infact we need Pe”Shon to go to the hoop more.

Padge has to do better the a bagel and 0-5 from the line but remember this was a tough senior laden team we faced.

Adrian is getting better with each game–scoring 9 with 4 assists. Dino brought his usual high energy.

Tomorrow night at 5PM we face Illinois–another tough game.
