Tenacious Play By Dino Gregory Leads Terps to 72-54 Victory

POST GAME REPORT

Bowie Audio Memo-23 Gregory audio Memo-24

I never like bounce back games against unusual opponents.. Unusual in the point that the team is much smaller . We will see how Delaware State can handle the press and Jordan Williams.

Through the first 5 minutes, sloppy play has ruled the day with the Terps leading 8-3. Maryland is certainly pressing a bit with Sean Mosley trying to force the action a little too much. Gary gave Sean a rest bringing in PeShon. Four points for Cliff so far.

Early after the timeout PeShon took a horrendousb fall on the flat of his back. Tough kid that hi is, he just shot up. Scary. 10-7  Terps Stoglin in for Bowie  Dino Gregory is playing inspired ball tonight as he just nailed his 3rd shot. PeShon just knocked a 3 to give the Terps a 15-10 lead midway through the first half.

Berend Weijs has come off the bench with some strong energy scoring 2 buckets in tight, and PeShon has added another 3 as the Terps have pulled away a bit 22-12. Weijs again with a putback–he is just too big for this team.

The bench has put the Terps in cruise control leading 34-17 with 2:30 to go in the first hslf. Delaware Stateis being force to chuck up long distance 3s and is having very little success.

So as the first half end Delaware State just cannot stay with Maryland size wise being outrebounded 19-3.

The 2nd half just turned into a sloppy game with the Terps getting PT for just about everyone.  Gary again used multiple lineups still experimenting with this team.

Fianl Score Terps 72 Delaware State 54—Cliff 15 points  Dino  14 points  Adrian 13, PeShon 8, Weijs 6—Next up Elon Friday night
