POST GAME REPORT
Gary was visibly upset after this game. Maryland had the lead was on the line and Cliff Tucker missed 2 free throw. This is the 2nd time this yearfree throw shooting has cost us the game. Here are some combo stats that make it seem how did we lose: the Terps shot 49.2% from the field 32-65. The Terps only had 9 turnovers. Terrell Stoglin played 28 minutes at the point and had 0 turnovers. Jordan and Dino were a combined 18-24 from the field –the rest of the team 14-41.But there is no way you can pin this game on the offense. Boston College shot 29 threes converting 13. Bike Paris had 6 threes–it was a recipe for victory tonight but a sure fire path to disaster for the Eagles.
It seems like the team is looking to Terrell Stoglin as its go to guy in crunch time. Adrian Bowie only took 3 shots the entire game but 2 were down the wire and went in. The telling stat is 3-17 from the 3 point line. This team has not found its range yet. Cliff who has had his moments was 1-7 from beyond the arc after having several strong games earlier in the year.
What else can we say about Jordan Williams. Today he was clearly double and sometimes triple teamed down low, yet he fought for his position and points. Dino Gregory was left wide open and he made the Eagles pay by hitting 6-8.
It must have been Biko Harris’ birthday today because he scored 22 points including 6 –that’s right –6 3 point shots.
Ralph gave an inspiring halftime speech and plea for ticket sales for the Miltary Bowl. Ralph said “We are disappointed with the process. I think our players have deserved a lot more support. In a way, they’ve disrespected our school by this process,”
Jimmy Patsos was in the house tonight. Ex Terrapin Shane Walker had a big game for Loyola on Saturday.
I just don’t know where to criticize because all in all the Terps did not play that badly tonight. Perhaps in crunch time more guys have to get invilved with the shooting because relying on Stoglin, a Freshman will prove to be hit and miss. We must see some more scoring from Sean Mosley.
For those of you wondering how BC was able to get off so many threes remember at some points tonight BC was using 4 guards, a Gary Williams tactic. I like our chances when we play on Feb 12 at Chesnut Hill.
Next up NJIT next Wednesday the 22nd after finals. Ten days off to think about that game.

poor perimeter defense. zero production in crunch time. stoglin misses 2 ft and 3 pt’er tucker misses 2 ft. stoglin 6-17 including many ill advised shots…tucker 2-10 shooting. gregory and bowie played pretty well. williams had another big game. still think the team would play best with howard running the point and stoglin playing sg. mosley disappeared again and is having a less than average season so far. md made no significant adjustments on defense after the first half.
