Terps Face Must Win situation at Virginia Tech

We all know it. Game after game the Terps just get nipped. It’s time when this must be turned around. Last game at College Park, Erick Green was on fire hitting 12-16. With Singleton’s injury at FSU the Terps will be favored to win their remaining home games, which means to achieve the goal of 10 conference victories wins over the Hokies and Canes seem to be a must. Look for the following tonight:

–Cliff Tucker is more then do for a big game. Just when you give up on him,

he rebounds with a great game.

–I doubt that Stoglin and PeShon will both start but they will get some run together on the court.

–Mosley will look for more points tonight

–Jeff Allen took a real cheap shot at Jordan in game one. It won’t be tolerated tonight by Maryland or the refs.

–Mosley gets the draw on Dulaney in what could be our last time seeing him against the Terps…

Here’s the Hokie preview from umterps.com

The Hokies enter Tuesday’s game with a 16-7 overall record and are 6-4 in ACC action… They haven’t lost a home game since Dec. 5, 2010, when they fell 57-54 to Virginia, and have won three of their last four overall… They are coming off a 102-77 win over Georgia Tech on Sunday in which Malcolm Delaney scored 33 points.  Delaney is second in the league in scoring at 19.0 ppg; the senior had 19 points and seven assists in Tech’s 74-57 win at Maryland on Jan. 20… Erick Green led the Hokies in scoring in that game, tallying 24 on 12-of-16 shooting, along with four steals… Green, a sophomore guard, had 15 points and six rebounds in the win over Georgia Tech…Senior forward Jeff Allen leads the Hokies in rebounding and is second in the conference with 10.2 rpg… He had 25 points and 19 rebounds in a loss to Boston College on Feb. 5 and has put together a streak of five straight games with a double-double… Forward Terrell Bell and center Victor Davila join Allen in the frontcourt..

    Bruce-

Ain’t gonna happen. Why? Cuz they just aren’t a good team.

This program is in the toilet as a matter of fact.
Gary can’t, and has NEVER been able to recruit, yet he has somehow got some status that makes him untouchable.
    I don’t get it.
Howard and Stoglin are mediocre players.
Bowie and Tucker, are and were always bad more than good.
Mosely is another in a long line of busts.

1 point lead in this game 3 or 4 times late, and they spaz out coming down the court, rush it, and turn it over.
That is 100% on the coaches. They have ALWAYS, under Gary had problems offensively. He just can’t coach. He get’s players to try hard, and they play defense. That’s it. He will be remembered for staying too long, and running the program into the ground.
