Justin Anderson Expected To Commit To Maryland Today

Let the naysayers vanish. This is a major get for the Terps. Supposedly he will commit on Comcast today at 5PM.

The following is from the Washington Post and Josh Barr

Justin Anderson , the Montrose Christian junior forward best known for his incredible athletic ability will announce his college choice Thursday and is expected to commit to play for Maryland, according to sources familiar with the situation. Anderson, who is 6 feet 7, has been pursued by several of the nation’s top programs. Virginia and North Carolina are believed to be among the other schools that he strongly considered. Anderson has worked hard to improve his basketball skills, wanting to be known as more than just a spectacular leaper or dunker. He has averaged a career-high 14 points this season for the top-ranked Mustangs, helping the team go 22-1 and finish atop The Post’s boys’ basketball rankings.

He’s a junior, Carolina or some other big time program still have another year to recruit him. He will decommit and reopen the recruiting process by October. Gary and that crack staff of his will get caught flat footed yet again.
