Jeremy Guthrie was incredible last night but……… 2 out in the 8th—Luke Scott made a miserable throw on an Ichiro grounder—then a line drive single to right—You can feels the wheels coming off the car—Buck has no one ready in the bullpen—Boom Justin Smoak 3 run dinger. No one 2nd guessed Buck but I will.Oh well–5 in a row and the Birds are on their way to free fall. Again.
Buck was fuming at Luke Scott for a base running mistake that was so stupid it’s hard to believe a major league player could commit. Luke was on 2nd when a line drive was hit to left. Luke hesitated thinking the ball might be caught. Then when it fell in for a hit directly in front of the left fhe took off for third and was thrown out by 8 feet.
