Strengths:
James runs the floor pretty hard and consistently. He is much more mobile than he appears. He power rolls hard to the rim in screen and roll situations and clears out finesses defenders with ease. He is a physical player that welcomed contact especially when ducted in and posted deep in the lane where he provided the passer with an highly visible and aggressive target hand. Powers through contact and can face and hit open jumpers from 15 feet with ease. James can also make a play off the dribble from the high post area when he is in attack mode.
Weaknesses:
James must continue to work to get into excellent conditioning in order to play for longer periods of time. He also must work on his back to the basket footwork in order to make his moves smooth and more efficient although they are decent at this stage his game. Also at times James picks up cheap fouls by being out of position or from lack of readiness when defending the low post.
Bottom Line:
James has great size and strength with incredible upside. His game will go to the next level when he hones his back to the basket footwork and moves, stays out of foul trouble and improve and maintain his overall conditioning. Has the ability to dominate when in attack mode.
