Stevenson Wins In Double OT in Inaugural Game in Mustang Stadium

– Trailing 43-40 and facing a third-and-4 in the second overtime, Stevenson football junior C.J. Hopson (Lusby/Patuxent) found freshman Jeromie Miller (Reisterstown/Franklin) in the corner of the end zone to give the Mustangs their first win in program history Saturday night, 46-43 in front of a sellout crowd of 3,500 fans in the inaugural game at Mustang Stadium.

Stevenson (1-1) totaled 472 yards of total offense, 375 of which came from Hopson who completed 19-of-37 pass attempts for 284 yards and five touchdowns while rushing for 91 yards on 11 carries. Stevenson looks to make more history next Saturday, September 17 when it hosts King’s (Pa.) at Mustang Stadium in the program’s first Middle Atlantic Conference contest beginning at 1:00 p.m.
