This is a huge loss for Maryland. The converted Star linebacker has been sorely missed from the lineup. Kenny will apply for a Medical Redshirt as he will be down through April and would thus miss much of the NFL prep camps.
I wanted Ralph gone too. Leach was the hire. He had success at this high level.
Edsall, 1-25 against top 25 teams.
Ralph got speed, Merriman, Smith, Davis, Starks, Hendersons, Jackson, DHB, Foxworth, Wilson, Jenkins, and on and on.
He could recruit the players needed to win, just not enough, and wasn’t motivated enough to keep it going.
Edsall, will be gone inside of 3 years.
For as good of a move as Turgeon was, Edsall was that much worse.
Now a QB contreversy? He took a 9-4 team, and turned it into a 2-5 team, that is horrible.
He had the ACC rookie of the year at the most important position on the field, benched him after a slow start at GT, the #13 team in the country at the time.
He is just a bad coach. Bad recruiter. Bad motivator. Lost every player, they all quit on him.
Wait til we see this recruiting class. SLow, Slow, Slow.
