Some observations of today’s game:
I had a choice today with all of the Terrapin teams off. Army Navy or Loyola vs the Mount at Knott Arena. Because I am getting over a cold and wanted to go to the Ravens game and because I have never taken the 50 minute drive to Emmitsburg to see Knott Arena, I opted for hoops. The fact that I had to deal with Fed EX access and egress helped a ;ittle.
Knott Arena is an old fashioned arena holding probably about 2800. The 1620 there constituted a great vocal home crowd. Johnny Holiday was doing the play by play on MASN. My buddy from terrapin lacrosse, Steve Stofberg does play by play for the Mount.
Loyola played some ferocious d keeping the Mount at 39% and 25% from the 3 point line.Former Terp, Shane walker score 20, and fellow Senior Robert Olson had 19 points. From a 26-26 game with 2 minutes left in the half loyola scored the last 7 and never looked back. Memo(9) Patsos Post Game
