I like Edsall. He was not the one responsible for Franklins demise. It was your beloved Friedgen. Tubs renigged on the univerity and Franklin by negotiating to stay beyond the plan. He left Franklin and the university in the grasp.
Also Ralphy boy was the one that created all of the controversy with the media re his demands to stay and not leave as was originally planned.
I feel that this attitude and back room negotiating to save his big hide , also represented much that went wrong with the program after Raplh’s initial success with Vanderlindens recruits.
I am excited about the discipline that Edsall brings and will shortly be displayed on the field. Long overdue!

ricklen i think you’re wrong about fridge. keven anderson didn’t want to sign ralph to a long term deal and obviously he had no interest in hiring franklin as head coach. it’s that simple.

I kindly disagree. Franklin was looking to leave when Ralph starting lobbying for an extension. Fudge went through the media and created the fire storm. Not wanting to extend Fudge Pack was a smart move. Losing Franklin in the process is debatable.
I am a fan of Edsall and feel he offers long term consistency, better recruiting possibilities and certainly a less embarrassing demeanor and presence.
Time will tell, but I can be patient.
