COLLEGE PARK, Md. – On senior night, 19th-ranked senior Kyle John finished his career in style with a major decision to lead the 17th-ranked Maryland wrestling team to a 22-12 defeat of Duke at Comcast Pavilion.
Head coach Kerry McCoy used a senior-laden lineup in the squad’s final home meet of the season as the Terps clinched a share of the regular-season ACC title. Prior to the match, the Terps honored seniors Matt Bogusz, Joey Boone, Ryan Gray, John, Brian Marcoux, Shawn Mazzarone, Corey Peltier and Owen Smith for their commitment and dedication to the program over the last four years.
