Karri Ellen Johnson, Kelly McPartland and Katie Schwarzmannnetted hat tricks to lead No. 3 Maryland past No. 6 Virginia 12-9 on Friday.
The win is Maryland’s 36th consecutive at home and first in league play this season. The Terps (4-1, 1-1 ACC) picked up an additional goal each form Alex Aust, Beth Glaros, andKristy Black. Friday’s loss was the first for Virginia (3-1, 0-1 ACC) this season.
