Rough start for the Terps. Louisville goes up 6-0 as the Terps have been bothered by a half court defensive rush. Kim Rodgers came in early to provide some stability. A couple of fast break buckets have closed the gap to 8-4. Maryland has found the answer to the press. Alyssa Thomas has yet to score but has helped in breaking the press. 10-8 Louisville at the 15 minute mark
2 straight buckets by the Cardinals and 2 missed free throws have given Louisvile a 15-8 lead. 5 straight points by Laurin Mincy has closed the gap to 17-15 at the 10 minute mark. At the 7 minute mark it seems like if the Terps stop #23 Schimmel Louisville has no answer–22-18 Cardinals. A rain of treys by Mincy and Rodgers have given the Terps a 5 point lead. at the 3 minute mark. Maryland has a far more athletic team but a series of mistakes including 2-9 from the line. 3 inside buckets by the Louisville bigs have tied the score with 1 minute left in the half.
