Sam Cassell Jr To Announce College Decision on Saturday at Capital Classic Game—-Tick Tock Tick Tock!!!!!!
This should only be a good sign for Sam to recommit to Maryland. I have never wavered on the fact that this would be a tremendous get for Maryland. Sam is a shooter!!!!
my concerns with sam. some reports have him at 6-4 others at 6-2. usually means he’s probably 6-1 . not atheletic. at his size, whatever it is and because he has good court sense and knows how to get separation to get his shot off he is good at the h.s. level. going to the next level means players are bigger, more athletic and have better skills. the question is does his skills and lack of athleticism and possible lack of height hinder him in college. seems to me he needs to play more point guard than shooting guard. hopefully he’ll be fine. i believe rivals had him at #146 in its rankings so h isn’t considered a great prospect but there is no reason at his time to question turgeon who seems to be the best hire md has made in many years. just hope bill self stays at kansas for many many years.
