Clemson Rallies to Win Nightcap of Doubleheader 7-2

Maryland and Clemson were tied 2-2 after six innings, but the Tigers scored three runs in the seventh inning and one in both the eighth and ninth to pull away for a 7-2 victory Saturday afternoon.

The win completed a sweep of Saturday’s doubleheader and the series for Clemson (24-17, 12-9 ACC).

Maryland (25-17, 7-14 ACC) took a 2-0 lead in the first, but the Tigers got one back in the second and tied it in the fifth while shutting out the Terps over the final eight innings.
