Caps, Backstrom Lay an Egg in Overtime—Game 7 Wednesday in Boston
I would have loved to hear Coach Hunter’s locker room speech before the Overtime started. whatever he said, whatever he suggested should be deposited in the waste can. With a chance to end the series and defeat the defending Champions the Caps came up really empty. Redemption Day is Wednesday in Beantown.
first of all, boston is a better team than the caps. the had 7 more wins and 10 more points than the caps this year. boston is the defending stanley cup champs. secondly, one goal here one less goal there and the series is over for either team and could have been over in 4 games. no game has been decided by more than one goal. 3 games have gone into overtime. the caps have played really really well and don’t forget the caps didn’t qualify for the the playoffs until the last week of the season. that said the caps will win wed. and holtby and brooks laich will be the stars of the game.
