Some observations of an incredible but losing effort from the Caps:
Goalie Braden Holtby was off the charts spectacular. Though I heard the post game guys on the radio saying that overall the Caps had more chances, it just seemed to me that the Rangers were just able to fire away especially in OT.
The Rangers appeared to be step quicker and overall in better shape as the game wore on. Mike Green, Brooks laic, John Carlson, and Roman Hamrik stood out for the Caps
Ovie hit the post late in regulation but that was iyt for him. He delivered 9 brutal hits throughout the game.
I sat in the 4th row behind one of the goals in the upper deck and thoroughly enjoyed the sidelines. However the bathroom situation in the upper deck is a disgrace. Between 300-400 were inn line between periods. Ted, C’MON MAN.
I am not sure the caps will recover from this devastating loss but we will find out Saturday at 1230 at Verizon.

caps has several great chances to win and couldn’t get it done. i expect them to win the next game.
jake arrieta was masterful in shutting down the yankees. matt wieters continues to crush the ball. o’s pitching was great in the 3 game series. only one bad pitch by hammel otherwise o’s would have swept n.y.
