Lady Terps Gain #3 Seed –Face UMass Saturday at 2PM

Maryland was awarded the third overall seed in the upcoming 2012 NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship Sunday.

The Terps (17-3) earned the automatic bid from the Atlantic Coast Conference after winning its fourth straight ACC championship. Maryland will play host to UMass at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. Maryland leads the nation with 28 appearances in the tournament. The Terps are also tops with 49 wins, 16 championship game appearances and 10 NCAA titles.

If successful in Game 1, the Terps could potentially face Loyola and head coach Jen Adams, possessor of 4 NCAA titles with the Terps.
