Great night at the Clarice Smith Center as student athlete awards were distributed in an ESPY like atmosphere. The format certainly made this night an inaugural event. Some of the key awards were:
Harriet Tibble (Field Hockey) and Brett Harman (Baseball) were named Scholar Athletes of the Year.
The NCAA Champion Field Hockey team won the Terrapin Cup Award as best team of the year.
Most Inspiring Award (student-athlete whose commitment and dedication serves as an inspiration) – Kiani Profit, women’s track & field
Sportsmanship Awards – Ashley Cromartie, women’s cross country; Owen Smith, wrestling
Male Coach of the Year – Kerry McCoy, wrestling
Female Co-Coaches of the Year – Brenda Frese, women’s basketball; Missy Meharg, field hockey
Charles P. McCormick Award (Baltimore-area senior contributing the most to athletics) – Sean Mosley, men’s basketball
