As was said on NBA TV—from Vilification to Vindication—the better team clearly won and certainly for the time being LeBron is the king of the game. He was utterly sensational. LeBron played the game like I have never seen it played. He became the 5th player to have a triple double in a clinching game. Post game, LeBron admitted that his failures last year humbled him.
Tonight the Heat were able to slow Westbrook down by clogging the driving lanes. His 4-20 performance spelled doom for OKC. KD finished with 32 points.
“All I know is that I am a Champion and that’s all that matters.” LeBron responded when asked if he was the best player in the game.
Let’s give a ton of credit to Coach Spoelstra. Every time it seemed like Miami was trouble throughout the playoffs, Spoelstra was the calming voice. Down 2-1 to Indiana, 3-2 and game 6 in Boston, and even being down1-0 to OKC. the Coach was the calming, relaxed voice.
Next up for LeBron, Wade, and KD —the Gold Medal in England
