Former Maryland standout Graham Zusi was selected as a member of the 2012 Major League Soccer All-Star First XI Sunday.
It is the first career selection for the Sporting Kansas City midfielder. The 2011 MLS Breakout Player of the Year, Zusi is the only player to have appeared in every match for Sporting Kansas City this season and is second in the league with eight assists.
Below is a breakdown of how a few other Terps have fared this season (as of Thursday, July 5):
Marc Burch
Playing in 17 games this season, Burch has helped anchor the Seattle Sounders’ defense, which is allowing one goal per game and is 7-5-6 on the season. Has recorded two assists and has six shots on the year.
Danny Califf
After being traded to Chivas USA in May, he has started in six games this year for the team as they are 5-7-4 overall. Also plays on the US national soccer team, appearing in 23 international games since 2002.
A.J. Delagarza
Started in 17 games this season for the Los Angeles Galaxy. Despite the team’s 6-10-2 record, Delagarza has been one of the most versatile young defenders in the MLS all season.
Maurice Edu
Has been with the Scottish Premier team Rangers Football Club since 2008. Made 36 appearances last year and scored 3 goals from his center midfield position. Also plays on the US National team and has made one appearance this year.
Jeremy Hall
Despite Toronto’s 2-10-4 record, Hall has logged 700 minutes in nine games this season. Has recorded four shots this season and scored a goal on June 20 against the Houston Dynamo.

Jason Garey
Scored one goal this season for the Carolina RailHawks in seven appearances. The RailHawks are 5-5-5 overall.
Omar Gonzalez
Following an ACL injury, he returned to the lineup on July 4 against the Philadelphia Union, logging 45 minutes. In 2011, Gonzalez and the L.A. Galaxy boasted the league-best defense and he won the MLS Defender of the Year. Made two appearances last year for the US National team.
Clarence Goodson
Appeared in 36 games for the Danish club Brondby IF, scoring four goals. Also appeared in 31 games for the US National team, scoring three goals.
Matt Kassel
Appeared in seven games this year for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, scoring one goal. The team is 3-7-5. He played in two games for the New York Red Bulls in 2011.
Stephen King
Part of a DC United team that is 10-5-3 and in first place in the conference. Played in seven games and recorded one assist on May 5th against Toronto FC.
Alex Lee
Drafted by FC Dallas in the first round of the 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft. Has not yet appeared in a game. Dallas is 3-9-6 on the year.
Zac MacMath
Has started 13 games this season as goalkeeper for Philadelphia Union, going 4-8-1 with 35 saves. Went 3-0 in 2011 and was promoted to the Union starting goalkeeper.
Chris Seitz
Has started four games as goalkeeper for FC Dallas this year. Is 2-2 with 10 saves.
Casey Townsend
Drafted fifth overall in the January MLS SuperDraft by Chivas USA. Has played in eight games this year and scored his lone goal on March 24 against Real Salt Lake.
Rodney Wallace
Anchoring the midfield for the Portland Timbers, who are 5-7-4. Wallace has started eight games this year, recording 13 shots. Had two goals and two assists in 2011 for the Timbers.
Ethan White
Loaned to the Richmond Kickers from DC United in June, White has appeared in four games for the Kickers, who are 5-5-5 on the year.
