Zack has been an associate and good friend for about 10 years. Filling Doug Dull’s shoes is no easy task but I can say the Terps landed a talented and great guy. I have worked with him in his days with the Wizards and his tenure with the Gridiron Grunts. I look forward to working with Zach!!!!

Zack Bolno has been hired as a senior associate athletics director of media relations and strategic communications at the University of Maryland, athletics director Kevin Anderson announced Monday.
Bolno brings ties to the local and national media to Maryland after spending the 2011-12 season as the Washington Wizards’ director of basketball communications, a role he previously held from 2004-08. Bolno also worked as the executive director of communications for the Washington Redskins through the 2008 and 2009 seasons.
“The University of Maryland has distinguished itself for its high academic standards as well as its athletic accomplishments. I am excited and appreciative of this tremendous opportunity to be a part of such a storied athletic program,” Bolno said. “I am looking forward to working with a dedicated staff and the many talented student-athletes and accomplished coaches who represent this outstanding university.”
At Maryland, he will be responsible for overseeing the department’s athletic media relations staff, as well as designing and implementing strategic communication plans.
“We are excited to welcome Zack to the Terrapin family,” Anderson said. “He has a tremendous professional background and strong local media ties. Zack will be a considerable asset to Maryland Athletics and will shape our communications strategy and help to lead this department.”
