I guess the overall effect on the community at large ruled out the death penalty. One issue that needs to be cleared up is the lifting of the 85 max scholarship figure for the kids who wish to transfer. It should be a 1 year lifting due to the late time of the decision. In other words any Penn State player who wishes to transfer should not have his scholarship added to the number of scholarships the school has. PSU has a tremendously faithful following. No doubt the alumni base will continue to support the program during the 4 year hiatus from the bowls.
