Hokies 20 Georgia Tech 17—Virginia Tech wins in Overtime despite Beamer’s timeout fiasco. I only wish The Hokies would have lost this game just to hear the Blacksburg faithfull lambast Beamer. As GTech was drivingfor a go ahead TD, Beamer held on to his 3 timeouts causing a helter skelter drive that started with 44 seconds left and Vtech downby 3. His QB and placekicker bailed him out with a 42 yard FG to send the game into OR. Yes this is the same Frank Beamer who once called a timeout against his good buddy Ralph at he end of the half to squeeze in another FG with Vtech already up by 31. One day!!!
