A few thoughts as I await Game 2 of this crucial series.
Looking at the Sky Box and seeing Cal among the Oriole faithful going crazy with joy was great to see
This was the most raucous Oriole crowd I can ever remember at Camden Yards. And I wasn’t even there!!!
Something has to be done about using Pedro Strop. It was unbelievable to me that Buck left him in to face Ichiro. when things were going South in the 8th inning,I thought it was time to use JJ for that 1 1/3 inning save that has made Rivera so famous.
I loistened to John Sterling for the bottom of the 8th inning. He and the entire Yankee organization marvel at the performance Mark Reynolds. 8 HRs in 7 games.
Was last night just another game–I doubt it. 6 Hrs was a statement. Losing a 5 runlead then scoring 4 was a statement. The Birds are Back!!!

kinda of a short memory considering the many great games strop has had. o’s probably wouldn’t be in the position they are in now without pedro’s contribution. almost sounds a lot like your criticism of reynolds for most of the year. buck isn’t going to change anything at this time. funny i never hear this kind of criticism with a certain state university when there is nothing but losing in regards to a particular sport played in the fall.
