Originally I hated the idea of the one and done playoff game but the more I think about it I like it. It stops the horrendous trend of losing on purpose to duck the hottest team like the Yankees were accused of last year.
I respect Derek Jeter for playing with the bad ankle but do we have to hear about it every 2 minutes.

maybe as a pinch runner. the o’s aren’t looking to see who might help them next yr. do you see how often flaherty is being used and he’s been with the team all year. why would you think a guy who has never had an at bat in the big leagues is going to be used other than as a pinch runner. i could be wrong but i guess time will tell. o’s 3-1 without nick.
