Just a few comments on the most incredible Oriole Season ever:
Buck will not give up on Strop—
“I thought Strop threw the ball great today,” Showalter said. “A strikeout, a weak ground ball, two routine fly balls that hit the wall. Hopefully, we’ll take that as a positive. “Showalter has continued to go to Strop in the situations he dominated until mid August. He was 4-2 with a 1.20 ERA after an appearance on Aug. 15. Since then, he has made 16 appearances and allowed 10 earned runs in 12 innings, which works out to a 7.50 ERA. from the sun
Andino is seething over beaning Friday night—one day revenge will be sought but not now
Adam Jones is delivering when it matters most—When we look back on the season—signing him to the big deal might stand out as the act that catapulted this team. Mattie has also been clutch, and overall brilliant in this recent road stretch where the O’s are 6-2
Jim Thome with the game winning hit?–followed by Endy Chavez’s RBI–ASdjoined by Ryan Flaherty’s 2 hits–Manny Machado’s 3 hits–Tommy Hunter throwing 98 mph–think there might be other forces at work
Driving home from Morgantown and having to listen to John Sterling exult over the Yankees was painful. But hearing Manfra’s play by play on the O’s made the trip easy. Last night’s Sterling’s call of “It is high , etc and then “Muscle from Russell” was too much to take.
So at the end of the day the O’s are 1 game behind the Yanks for the division and 2 ahead of the A’s for the #1 wild card spot–not bad. I will pass on the NFL tomorrow afternoon and watch Chris Tillman go for the sweep.

when watching the o’s play there is one consistent question.. how are they gong to win it today. who is going to step up. on the la angel telecast the broadcasters where questioning the o’s 16 straight extra inning wins saying shouldn’t they have won some of those games in 9 innings. i guess when your team has a bunch of stars and the payroll is astronomical and your record is not as good as the o’s you need to find something to talk about rather than being critical of your team. what morons. they’re knocking the o’s. see what happens when you win. people take shots at you. the times, they are a changin’
